Settings Consolidation

As PlanIt has grown the settings for various new features were typically placed somewhere within the feature or within the feature's menu. The result has led to some confusion and a mess of settings.

As we prepare to launch some new features in coming months, we wanted to take steps to resolve this problem before adding even more settings screens. To accomplish this, we have relocated all settings that control how features work into the System menu under the new "Settings" option.

The new Settings page will now host the following settings in one area:
Automatic Approvals, Color Coding (Units, Jobs, Platoons, Shifts, Time Off, and Employees), Court Locations, Court Public Access, Emergency Contact, Employee Address Book, Employee Custom Fields, Employee Hierarchy, Open Shift Settings, Overtime Form Settings, Payroll Settings, Schedule Settings (Calendar Editor, Calendar Schedule, My Schedule, Templates, Universal Settings), Shift Names, Shift Trade Settings, Time Off Settings, and Toolbar Settings.

During a transition period we will continue to keep some of the old ways to access the previously independent setting screens that were directly embedded within the features. Effective immediately we have cleaned up the menu to reduce the clutter.

Summary: If you are looking for a setting, it's going to be on the System Menu, under Settings. No features or employee areas were moved, only administrative settings.
